Apple Tart is a new fig variety found growing in the same wild seedling grove as Weeping Apple, Honey Apple, and several other unnamed selections. This fig stands out for its exceptional productivity, bearing heavily in a manner similar to Weeping Apple Pie. Trees are vigorous and reliable, setting abundant crops even under less-than-ideal conditions.

The fruit is noted for its balanced, dessert-like flavor profile—suggestive of its name—with a pleasant sweet apple complemented by a subtle sweet-tart edge. While its full characteristics are still being evaluated, early observations suggest it may be common, but it is too soon to know. Some figs appear more golden and seedless on the interior suggesting it was not pollinated, while other figs appear red and seeded.

Further propagation and observation will help determine its consistency, adaptability, and long-term value.
