Strawberry Guava

Strawberry Guava is a beautiful green fig with an exceptional flavor profile—a complex blend of ripe strawberry and sweet-tart guava, layered with subtle floral notes. The flavor is bright, fruity, and wonderfully sweet, with a slightly chewy skin and a nice, tight eye.

This special fig was discovered on the same historic property as Crema di Lamponi, and both have proven to be truly top-tier varieties and must-haves for the serious fig collector.

The property is an old homestead, rich with history and scattered with Native American and pioneer artifacts. These unique seedlings have endured the passage of time and more than their share of hardship, including a devastating fire that burned the trees to the ground. Yet their roots survived. From those surviving roots came the beautiful trees and exceptional fruit we enjoy today.

In that sense, these figs are more than just fruit. They are living witnesses to a time long gone—a testament to resilience, survival, and the strength that comes with perseverance. They are beautiful gifts from Mother Nature, carrying a little piece of the land's history in every bite.

Strawberry Guava has also reportedly held figs in Tennessee, though I would like to see more reports before officially calling it Common. For now, it remains a promising and intriguing variety for collectors and growers alike.
